Not to be confused with Sam Peckinpah's 1975 movie The Killer Elite, this is based around reportedly true events as described in the book The Feather Men. Set in the '80s, a retired member of Britain's Elite Special Air Service finds himself in a bind. His mentor is kidnapped by a Middle Eastern oil baron, and will only get released if several undercover military assassins are eliminated. These have to appear like accidents. With a crew of experts they set out to get the job done, but the leader of the targeted special forces team is not going to take it lying down, so the deadly chase across the globe ensues.

With a gritty look and choppy pace, Killer Elite is an invigorating action movie with Statham and Owen doing what they does best, not a flinch in their routines.
